stories
WaterAid enables the world's poorest people to gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education. These basic human rights form the first, essential step in overcoming poverty.
Over the last year we have contributed over £38,000 to WaterAid helping to provide vital safe water tools for more than 3000 people.
This Water supports WaterAid's work in Ethiopia and is helping transform the lives of the families in a place called Achefer Woreda, in Amhara regional state, where only a small percentage of people have safe water. This project aims to construct over nine wells, build latrines in several schools and train people to become hygiene communicators to promote key hygiene messages within the village.
